Suspension Welding Jigs

These welding jigs are critical for placement of suspension tabs, which determine much of our geometry (swing arm lengths, camber/toe, etc.). Previously, these jigs were designed to hold tabs on solid, machined blocks of aluminum on sheet metal jigging – I updated this design to be fully made of sheet metal, for ease of manufacturing and cost savings. We have now successfully used these jigs for 2 design cycles in a row, simply water-jetting the 2D sheet metal profiles out and assembling the jigs; despite 2D profiles being cut, this design allows for any translation and/or rotation of control arm tabs (6 DOF).
