Steering Play Reduction Project
Redesigned the lower steering column, and implemented a lightweight steering column support, reducing free play by more than 90%.

Highlights of my projects, involving mechanical & mechatronics design, simulation, and manufacturing.

Designed the rear bellcranks in SolidWorks and structurally optimized them in Ansys, cutting mass by 56.7% while raising the safety factor from 1.50 to 2.84 and reducing cost.

Fixturing and welding jigs to hold suspension tabs in correct geometry for accurate location of suspension & steering members.

FEA analysis of the anti-roll bar blade's torsional contribution to the overall front/rear roll rates.

Tire fitting and comparison of 6 tires from raw TTC data - Fitted with a Pacejka MF6.2 model.

Translates wheel-centre loads from various loading scenarios to forces on each suspension member.

Electronically controlled active and predictive damping system that updates Low-Speed Compression damping based on a predictive terrain model. nRF53 BLE Embedded System with a micro-neural network drives the custom solenoid valve.

Custom solenoid valve designed to actuate the damping circuit on the active MTB shock. Designed & Simulated.
